Xie Chun began her classical guitar studies in childhood under Qu Yongming, winning multiple first prizes in solo and ensemble competitions across Henan Province. In 2004, she became one of the first classical guitar majors admitted to the Wuhan Conservatory of Music Affiliated Middle School, studying under Qian Zhengxian. By 2010, she entered the Wuhan Conservatory of Music as the top-ranked guitar major, actively performing in concerts and exchange events, including:

• 2006 Wuhan Conservatory “Christmas Night” Classical Guitar Concert
• 2010 Wuhu City “Autumn Whispers” Guitar Concert
• 2011 Tianjin International Guitar Festival(3rd Place, Professional Division)
• 2014 Bachelor’s Graduation Solo Concert

Besides solo and chamber guitar works, she actively engaged in chamber music, as well as performing as a member of the professional Shaking Tango Quintet in Central China.

U.S. Studies & Performances

In 2014, Xie Chun earned a full scholarship at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM), studying under Sergio Assad, a Grammy-winning guitarist and composer. Her highlights include:

• Two solo recitals at SFCM.
• 2014: Invited performer at the Guitarrada Festival(hosted by the Romeros Guitar Family).
• 2016: Featured artist at the 3rd Biagio International Guitar Festival.

Recorded promotional duo performances for SFCM’s Guitar Department.

Masterclass Training

Throughout her career, Xie refined her artistry under world-renowned guitarists, including:
Andrew Miolin, Tibault Kauvi, Scott Tennant, Jan Depreter, Marco Tamayo, David Tanenbaum, Fernández, Suzuki Gen, Suzuki Ichiro, Pierri, David Russell, Asabagić, Ángel Romero, Manuel Barrueco, and others.

Post-Graduation Career

Based in Wuhan, Xie Chun has:

• Performed solo and ensemble concertsacross Hubei, Henan, Hunan, Anhui, Hebei, and Liaoning.
• Served as guest performer and judgefor several festivals such as:

Shenzhen International Guitar Festival

Hubei Provincial Guitar Art Festival
